This is one of the most informative and comprehensive books that I have read on Adrenal Fatigue.  I finally felt like someone really understood what I had been going through.  In the first part of the book Dr Lam goes into great detail about exactly what Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome is and in the second part of the book he goes into detail about what you can do about it.  When you buy the book, you are also given supporting online material for every chapter in the form of audio and video which really helps to reinforce your understanding.  You also receive the first 2 sessions from Dr Lam’s Adrenal Yoga DVD, which gives you a wonderful taste of this very soothing and calming yoga program.  For anyone suffering from adrenal fatigue or for anyone not understanding what adrenal fatigue is or if this is indeed an issue for you, this is a must buy.

This is a really well thought out yoga programe that provides the perfect support for your adrenals.  The picture quality in some places was not of the highest resolution but don’t let that put you off.  The content and how you feel after doing the yoga is so worthwhile.  Dr Lam’s soothing voice guides you to exactly what your overtaxed nervous system needs and he has the perfect kind of movements to help you in the healing of adrenal fatigue.   If you have been wondering what exercise is appropriate for you as you are healing from adrenal fatigue and/or adrenal exhaustion this is a wonderful way to have that day to day guidance that is so key at this time. Dr Lam steps you through 21 different yoga sessions with each one building on the previous one.  All in all, a great programme in helping you in your recovery.

This book by Marcelle Pick was one of the first resources I found a few years back (it used to be called “Are You Tired and Wired”) when trying to understand what was going on with me.  As she spoke about the different stages of being tired and wired, it really began to make sense for me that my adrenals were indeed the issue.  I found it was so helpful to read the opinions of many different authors, to really get a feel for what felt right for me and what seemed to definitely be common ground with this topic of adrenal fatigue. Very worth the read.  If you are feeling worn out, you will be nodding your head in agreement all the way through at Marcelle Pick’s insights.

Wonderfully inspiring tools here.  Great encouragement and tips to help get your life back on track, reduce stress and anxiety, and to really live your best life.  A great read and a great resource book to have in your toolkit.  This book was a lifesaver for me as were the spiritual counselling sessions I did with Laurie.

The Art of Extreme Self-Care: Transform Your Life One Month at a Time.  By Cheryl Richardson.

A few years ago I embarked on a 12 month online course with Cheryl Richardson (the author of The Art of Extreme Self Care) and through her help I was able to make some very big decisions in beginning the process of letting go of all that wasn’t working for me.  With chapters like “Let Me Disappoint You” and “The Absolute No List”, while confronting, it is well worth doing the personal growth work.  This is not so much a book to read as much as a book TO DO.  Click here to read the reviews on Amazon.
